When designing her own wedding last year, she wanted it to serve as a portfolio example of sustainability. “Our parents are a little more traditional, so there were certain aspects that we tried to respect and uphold for them, while still finding our happy place from an environmental standpoint,” she says….” My notes: We’ve been married 22 years. I’ve always been eco in some ways tho I'm more now than I was then. If could do it again, there’s honestly not much I’d do differently. Only thing I can think of is having all organic food. But even then, we were simplistic. It was a small wedding with close family. Didn’t relish being in debt for years.

For me, it is easier not to adopt new ways. Old ones were always eco-friendly. We just don't have to overdo it.

That is very wise. Marriage is always an extravagant affair.

Eco-wedding sounds good. And, can probably be done without much planning; just take your original plans and make some eco-friendly & smart changes

I once read about a wedding where the couple distributed leftover food to the poor people. In another similar case, the couple did not organize a lavish wedding party, instead had a simple wedding and donated some money to the homeless people. I think people need to be considerate when spending on weddings.

For me, it is easier not to adopt new ways. Old ones were always eco-friendly. We just don't have to overdo it. Olden days were having all the Eco friendly, but in these days all were dangerous to us. Here already plastic banned, but still people are using them and throwing into drainage lanes, etc. Eco friendly marraiges never ever happened here and all were non eco friendly including small birthdays, etc.
